There are different forms of art. I see art as the most comfortable, relaxing, easy way to express myself. In my case the art that I use is writing and it also used to be playing piano. It is what makes me feel like the real me. I give my blog readers an honest glimpse of who I am and in a way I make myself vulnerable by doing this.

A few days ago I was going through some boxes in the attic and I found a ‘poetry’ album. When I did my First Communion it was the ‘family’ tradition or maybe the tradition of my school to give your poetry album to family, friends, teachers to let them draw something in it as a memory of that day. Those drawings in that small album are dated from May 1996 (I was 7 back then) and it’s fascinating to see them again.

As you can see, I’m not someone who had a ‘drawing talent’ and I still don’t have that talent. I preferred colouring little boxes and make something ‘abstract’ of it. I definitely didn’t inherit that talent from my mother or even from my father. The teachers are pretty talented too. It’s a form of art that everyone can appreciate, because in a way ‘what you see is what you get’.

My friend Anna is insanely talented. I tell her every day and sometimes she still doesn’t believe me. Her drawings are fabulous and she really deserves all the credit. Anna regularly sells her drawings to support charities. Basically she gives a small part of her away and that is admirable.
