“True happiness consists not in the multitude of friends, but in their worth and choice.”

I’ve been always quite careful, or maybe slow, in ‘making’ friends. It’s not that I don’t like making friends, but I don’t really feel the need to have hundreds of friends with whom I almost never talk to in the end. Maybe that’s because I never had the need to be the popular one at highschool, I prefered being the one ‘sitting in the back of the classroom observing everything/everyone”. Even if I look at my facebook now, I’ve got more than 100 friends, but there are only a few that I really consider as ‘true’ friends. The ones that know me the best and the ones that I’m sure of I can trust. Friends like that are the ones that matter the most to me.

Twitter… I never thought it would be possible to write something like this because of twitter. But I’ve been proven wrong, very wrong. Twitter, an online world filled with different kinds of tweets; people promoting their company, celebrities promoting their work, some of them showing their gratefulness towards their fans, people tweeting about their passions,… everykind of tweet you can come up with. But I never thought it would be possible to meet someone on twitter, who you’ve never met in real life, but seems to know you more than you know yourself in a way. Someone who appreciates you for who you are, motivates you, supports you by just being there, … Anyway, it did happen! I’ve met some amazing true friends all because of a shared passion for Grey’s Anatomy / Jessica Capshaw. Most of them I already met in real life by now and I’m eternally grateful! Girls, you know exactly who you are!!!

However there is one person that I feel really blessed to have met, it was quite soon after I first joined twitter. Yes, ‘foxy’ I’m talking about you ;). Maybe the only downside is that I’m from Europe and she’s from the US. But still in a way, I feel really connected. She means a lot to me and I know I can count on her no matter what and she can count on me whenever she needs me. That is for me, true friendship.
She was actually able to give me the most amazing unexpected surprise. I totally didn’t see that one coming. She made me a package with really amazing notes for me. (Thank You, Becky, for making sure I got it). It’s something that I cherish a lot and something I’ll never forget! Foxy was there from the beginning when I started writing, she was always able to motivate me even though she didn’t realise it. So she gave me a beautiful notebook to motivate me to continue writing. That is probably the most thoughtful, beautiful,… gift I ever got from someone.

It sometimes scares me how well she knows me, because if anything would ever happen to her, I don’t know what I would do… Foxy, THANK YOU, for being who you are, for putting up with me when I have a bad day, for still being there when you have a rough time,…! I can’t express how much you mean to me. I promise I’ll continue writing and if I ever have the chance to publish a book I will! I’m gonna do my utmost best to meet you one day in the US! You can count on me!

In a way I should also thank Jessica Capshaw, because if she wasn’t there, we would probably never have met and never had this amazing friendship!! So thank you Jessica!
